Hi, I'm MED.K 👋
Founder of Psyducate · Self-taught psychology enthusiast
For a long time, I didn't understand myself. I'd overthink conversations for hours, get angry over small things and hate myself for it, or feel like crying but not be able to. When I searched for answers, I found two kinds of explanations: clinical articles full of jargon, or shallow posts that said nothing real.
So I started reading. First one book, then another, then research papers, then everything I could find about why people feel and act the way they do. That curiosity turned into Psyducate.
What Psyducate is
Psyducate explains psychology in simple, honest words. It's for everyday people who have ever stopped and asked, "Why do I do this?"
Here you'll find clear answers to questions like:
- Why can't I cry, even when I want to?
- Why do I get angry so easily?
- Why do I talk to myself out loud?
- Why do I overthink everything at night?
- Why do I push people away?
Who I am (honestly)
I'm not a therapist or a psychologist, and I'll never pretend to be one. I'm a self-taught psychology enthusiast. For years, I've been studying emotional psychology, attachment theory and human behavior on my own, through books, research papers and the work of psychologists and researchers in the field.
The areas I keep coming back to:
- Emotions: why we cry, can't cry, get angry or feel numb
- Attachment and relationships: why we push people away, get attached too fast or stay where we shouldn't
- The inner voice: overthinking, self-talk and the stories we tell ourselves
What I bring is what I wished I had found years ago: explanations that feel human, backed by real research.
How I write every article
- Research first. Every article is built on peer-reviewed studies and trusted sources like the APA, NIH and NHS, and they're listed at the end of each post.
- Simple language. No jargon without an explanation.
- No diagnosing. I explain patterns; I don't label you. Every article includes a section on when to seek professional help.
- Kept up to date. I review and update articles as I learn more. If you spot a mistake, tell me and I'll fix it.
